Columbia Lane at the Provo River Bridge 
Beginning October 26, 2026, Columbia Lane will be closed to through traffic at the Provo River Bridge. The closure will extend to both sides of the bridge and is expected to remain in place through mid-May 2027.

Drivers will not be able to cross the Provo River using Columbia Lane during the closure. Motorists should follow the signed detour shown on the map. The detour will route traffic off of Columbia Lane, using Grandview Lane and State Street, with access back to the Cougar Boulevard/Columbia Lane area (see map).

Access to nearby businesses and properties will remain available from surrounding streets; however, drivers may need to approach their destination from a different direction. Please allow additional travel time and watch for con-struction signs, traffic-control devices, and changing conditions near the work area.

This work is part of the Provo River Trail Improvements Project (Exchange Park to University 
Parkway). The extended closure is necessary to allow crews to safely complete work in and around the Columbia Lane bridge area. We appreci-ate the public’s patience and cooperation while this work is underway.
